He says “When you’re dealing with different lenders, you want to develop relationships with people that are fairly well hands on, and understand exactly what’s going on in the business and can respond to challenges as they come along because they’re aware of what’s happening”; and also that “You can’t get that touch and feel for what’s going on whilst sitting behind a desk”.
